Virginia Beach, VA
If you are in the Hampton Roads/Tidewater/Coastal Virginia area (whatever they are calling it these days) and like us you love a good food truck, then you need to find Sofrito. The truck can normally be found at The Hub food truck park in Virginia Beach as part of Eat the Streets 757. Sofrito is dishing out some of the tastiest Puerto Rican food you can find in the area from their festive truck.
One of us is a sucker for a Cuban sandwich, and Sofrito has the best in town, well, really any town they happen to be parked in. The Cubano is piled with slow roasted, melt in you mouth pork, with ham, pickles, mustard, and the creamiest queso blanco you could ask for. All of that is surrounded by fresh bread and toasted to perfection, and served with a side of rice and beans.
If a sandwich isn’t your thing then you want to go with one of their Cantina Freshbowls. We recommend the Barbacoa. Romaine, fresh corn salsa and pico made in house, with savory rice and black beans, topped with cucumber, sour cream and queso, and finished off, of course with their amazing namesake, Sofrito!
